sorry ravi clean missed ur bday and so heres a belated birthday wishes. as kalu says ur enthusiasm for life is wonderful and sometimes catching. more than that ur ability to not let ur troubles get u down is inspiring to others.

ashwatha i am not sure if ur dad remembers, he stood for rotaract president in his final year of college and was adviced to withdraw by our rotarians as the opponent though from the same year was senior in age. ur father was trying to be magnaminous and almost agreed and it took bajaries like me and my friens to shout out in support of ur dad and say voting should be held. ur dad won of course !!! so may u.

I'm standing for elections this year - Girl School Pupil Leader , There are three of us standing , me ,shanthni and renuka - the other two are unfortunately very popular , but i'm still giving it a try =)


The Voting is on Wednesday and the results are on Friday, so i'm very excited lol !
By the way , if possible please disguise yourselves as small children and come and vote on wednesday - Uniforms will be distributed by me on tuesday for all those taking part - Thank you !

Kallu, Thanks for the kind words, The cheque is in the post , I cant remember whther we agreed the rate per word or per line but i have sent a consolidated amount !

I was reading a book on some tips to improve yourself,One of the tips was to comment on something that the other person is wearing if you feel it has a WOW factor !

So i tried it on the girl who was giving me the rental car, and she had a sparkly watch ( I would nt have noticed it before!) so I said its a lovely watch and she was so happy that she gave me a free double upgrade !
its a good book and i will bring it around ,

Birthdays are a bit sobering as you no longer enjoy it , you realise that the years are going by and you start thinking of retirement plans etc !
I read long time ago if you work hard long enough on your two feet one day you can relax with two feet on the desk !

the problem is this -
i have worked hard for 3 meals per day and now i am on a diet eating only 1-2 meals
i loved nonveg food but now everyone is telling be a veg and you will lose wt
i have a car but all are advising i need to walk or cycle to work
i am in a good hotel with nice comfy beds but due to some back pain i am sleeping on the floor !
No sugar, No salt No fat No oil No this that !!
Does the wheel come full circle always !

this trip to spore and kl was very hectic and tired , flew from coimbatore to singapore and back, dr mama was so happy me leaving from there, took his slippers for the trip, but it gave away and couldnt wear it at all,

went to a building called in spore capital towers to meet a client , found J B MORGAN office there, peeked in to see dharsu in, only lot of chinese girls, mee putting lot of wt due to the great food down there

Hi everyone

I guess its been a long long time since i posted anything here. Had been a little busy with exams and stuff. I am shifting house this weekend, to a single bedroom house.. I will be staying alone, it is fully furnished, with everything (even has a treadmill) except a cot!!! for all the international travellers (Ravi Chitappa) its about 15 minutes from mumbai airport... So everyone is invited to come and visit as long as i am here, which is end of August hopefully.

The rains have started here and seem to be making up for being delayed by about 20 days. It took me about half an hour standing in the rain and refusals from about 10 ricks before i finally managed to land at office, and you can see from what i am doing in office, that it wasnt really worth the effort!!

Will finally have to start cooking.. and improve my limited repetoire.. which is at present pasta(2 kinds) :D.. so some easy recipies are desperately needed.. What did all of you start with??

Mourning

Anandhi calls me at 6 a.m. She is travelling and I should verify that Michael Jackson is really dead.
Since all the news channels are full of it, its not very difficult.

I guess he was more of an icon for people of our generation . But still so famous, that even villages seem to know him. And even more so for males. Goutham, Thambi were the dancers of our family doing 'breakdance' and 'Im bad' whenever they thought that no one was looking. The whole thing might look a little contortionsist but the involvement of the dancers is so total; it looks good.
chelva and Chelvi - I dont know..guess they had different icons.

Michael Jackson is described as a tortured soul. And it must have been true . inspite of all the fame, name, billions, creativity which all of us would like to have; his inner feelings and drives – against the norms of society must have killed him.

A nat geo program was talking about transgender people- people who are neither man nor woman. One of them undergoing a sex change operation says… 'one can never never choose to be so. In my next birth, I pray that I am one of either gender- man or woman.'

One of the few places in the world where a third gender is accepted is India. the enveloping nature of Hinduism accepts all sorts of deviations. We’ve even given them a place in society as performers at weddings and births. The hijras. We think they have supernatural powers which they use to exploit us into giving them alms.
But what other alternative do they have except to beg and demand. We wont’ give them our house on rent or a job.

But still, we can be proud that our little tolerance at least has given them a role in society where they are themselves without having to pretend as in other countries.

Maybe we can cut off people we wish were rather not in the family :-))

Pasanga

An unassuming film with actors who seem perfectly natural; a story that is not going anywhere. Its more than a slice of life with a philosophy behind that does reach one. There is a cuteness about it; which film about kids isn't? but this one doesn't jar. The love interest too is refreshing. Little unexpected turns maintain interest . People have said that it lags a bit; but for each person its a different stage.

But, everyone says - lovely film. And so do I. I don't want to give the story away but do watch it.
Anandhi and I went to see it at Ooty. While Kap and Sindhu went at the same time at Madras.

ramesh and sanju are in cbe to attend and organise their family get together. darshu were u invited ???. so sajit and me aree relaxing and enjoying in our own way. me and sindhu are booked for pasangal while sajit is off to a movie with his friends after making sure its not the theatre where i am going.

hasini looks too cute. aunty are u more relaxed with her ,unlike ur strict regime with selva and selvi especially. ? .

evening had around 20 plus people at home with cake cutting and all the merry anybody could ask for.. the thallapaakatti biriyani was a super flop. chennaites... pls dont get to the original thallapaakatti biriyani behind valliammal school chintamani..

sandhya was too lovey dovey that day with a gift voucher of 1300 Rs. to Mainland China. and 4 calls to me.... to enjoy the day.. thanks sandhya...

I did think i was writing enough , but maybe not upto the others
as kallu says life is busy on both sides of the sea !
spoke to chelvi 2 days ago seems very happy, good for her,
got a bit of achilles tendon pain,
my nurse and secretary have cheered me up, both of them had it and only lasted for 6 months!
had some tennis elbow two months ago , seems like wear and tear ( more of tear really)
Had a great time with Nandhika here , missing her a lot now !
she wants to write as well

watching 20/20 now , will keep me going apart from work till july and then I should be back mid july in india

Blogging

Our blog will be a year old in July. Judging from the number of posts in the 2008 and 2009, number of entries has tapered of slightly. One person who has practically disappeared seems to be Ravi. When he is in cbe, he is too busy with his family, when in England, he is too busy with work. RAvi, find some time somewhere.

It was on Ravi's suggestion that this blog was started. I can't take too much credit to keep it going.Its the enthusiasm of family members that keeps it going. I know many people log in often and read - but do take a minute to add a comment or a post if you have something to say.
It does encourage the regular writers. Kap, Sajid, Aswatha, Goutham, Lalli Aunty, and occasionally Babu and Karthy.
CAn we have the occasional post from Dachu, Sindhu, Sandy, karthik, Gigi, Anandhi, Surya etc.

It would also be nice if you put your name in the Labels space below

well since babu uncle needed the statcs and me having no better job........kk studies is not everything in life people


well we batted first...and to clear all the doubts i played for uc board members...and i was the only small guy...rest 40+ oldies.....no offience mates......against maas criket academy played at vetinery collage in vepery

i went opening and was batting wit out pressuse cause nothing was expected of me...only had to stay and the runs actually came naturally...was rnjoying batting .....until thec stupid stomach pain came....and vomittin and bla bla...all cause of haru the villi......

well forget the mid details ......hit i think 10 fourzs and four or five six...as u can see idont run much........well we scored 270 in our 30 overs on that hit blazin day

and the opponent huffed and puffed to a score of 200 for 9 in their 30 overs

picked up two wickets in the process wit my med pace bowling...

more than this i dont its gr8 talking about this matc h.....even i am getting bored thinking about it










and forgot to tell drove a pulsar today( prasanth annas )

*was hoping for a quite peaceful hol before the hell started......but ended up traveling more than relazing... but u gotta admit it was fun all the way.....well people will get irittaed when i say this but wat to do was missing my friends....actually six day holiday was extended to 10 for dhruvs mottai....got to admit played the perfect role of a mamma ... was holding him when not crying..dumping to gg when he started crying....during mottai was very nervous....hehe but it ended up pretty well......kerala was awesome and very beautiful....had a peaceful time while dad and mom was in honeymoon alone wit out me and sanju....ooty too was gr8.....only thata very worried about me...dont know the proper reason.....(therinjalum solla mateen)...

her guests included uma anna ,mallika prashant and darshu: dr jeyachandran , gomathi and famil: gg dhruv, sajit : me ramesh and appa" gg and karthik on a honeymoon without dhruv. i may have left out a few.

comparing notes the first group of samandhi and son in law was wined and dined the most, though our breakfast came a close second. we had channa batura, bread and stew , chicken ,dosai sambar and chutney. any contenders.

appa visited a temple after many years and dint know that the theertham was supposed to be sipped.

he was awarded man of the match by his team captain and presented with a pink cap.
