Another Madras trip

You can date people when they say 'Madras' instead of 'Chennai' and 'Mount Road' instead of 'Anna Salai'.
Well, this was certainly a trip of dated people with a lot of dates with more people whose shelf lives keeps getting extended because their carbon date just doesnt come up.

Okay now that I am running out of puns  let me post a few photos..

Day 1

The three chittis turned up to spend time with Appa. Chinna baby chitti brought a grand breakfast - thayir vadais, idiyappam .. she even brought an appam chatti ( not trusting Kapu wisely to have one) but forgot the appam maavu!
Charu chitti broughts boli and snacks but had to leave early. Nirmala chitti brought some healthy apples.
Obviously, we spent a great morning in the Rao sahib style - eating and chatting.

Chinna baby chitti stayed back to spend the day with us. By the time we co-ordinated Kapu's schedules and taxis and Sindhu, we got to visit Mama in the hospital in the late evening only. He has grand plans to celebrate his 75th birthday next month although family members say he is only 72. Snaps at the hospital were taken on someone's cell phone.

Day 2:
Independence day celebrations at TVH. Sanju participated in several games and march past. We three Ks took part in the First Lumbini Square Marathon! and even managed to finish last!

I think kudos goes to Kalai for finishing the required 2 rounds and to my camera which takes great pics even from 4 storeys up.

We had a trip to Landmark where Appa managed to buy several books he had earmarked from Hindu's Literary Review and everyone else sneaked in a book or two onto  his bill. He has enough reading for several months now.

Day 3:
Included a mad shopping trip to Kalpadruma, a visit to Sivasankaran and dinner at Matsya, an Udupi restaurant

Anandhi and Kapu demonstrate how flexible and fit they are. In preparation for dinner ..

But I think the three chittis are going great . Each of them has their own interest to keep herself occupied, they are healthy enough to get around and travel, they are still interested in everyone and everything and keep the family circles going round and round.
