Hi All....
Anandhi
Congrats Kallu
I continue my writing on 90 SC.
When Chelvaa joined Dental college he had just then started
going to Gym. But after two years I was amazed to see his
rippling muscles. He had easily become the strongest male
member of the family.
A new kid is off the blocks now. Sajjith. Watch out for him.
Jan 1, 2002 we were in Ooty. Kalyani, Anandhi and I were
walking behind. In front of us Dharshini, GG, Sindhu, Haru
and Sajjith were walking. The girls were of equal height.
Sajjith was atleast half feet shorter. The kids all had their
hands interlocked behind their backs. They must have been
singing some song. In perfect unison all their right legs came
back twisting towards left. I rued not having a video camera
with me.
We greeted the new year as usual with songs and games.
We had three rounds of Thambola, the last one having the
maximum prize money. Sajjith won all the prizes in the last
round.

90 Sivananda colony-kalyani
please accept my appreciation for your great effort in bringing out an excellent compilation and sequencing of Sivananda colony lineage. All the photographs are thought provoking. My sincere advice to you. The two tamil write ups by your mama and nirmala aunty are with thousands of mistakes. Many places with different alphabets gives awkward meaning. Your mama is a Tamil scholar and it is an insult if his writing has strings of mistakes.Nirmalas is the next. The title. nan is nall--- Nan=I or Myself---Nal=date.I controlled my laugh when I saw in the first page of her article--please see last but one line where it is Mathudapathi instead of Magudapathy.Hi!Mathu=drinks -- Mahudam=crown. Please also see the last line. athan is written as suthan.
My sincere suggestions. Remove those two articles get it proof corrected by a person who knows tamil and attach it. or remove it. More mistakes are in Nirmala's article. I hope those who knows tamil would agree with my suggestions. But for this , please accept my sincere appreciation. You have done a wonderful job.

Thanks to Sendhil--congratulations to Sindhu
Deep in my heart you have touched me by remembering the 70tys. I never thought I would be a focus point in 90 Sivananda colony. Thank you for your sincere thoughts about me. Even Today I am dedicated to my research and for you and for others, I presented a research paper before a good gathering of American Investers, Marketers and Farmers. This came in the local TV news. I was really thrilled about that. The mayor attended and congratulated me for the products that I have developed here. Yet another effort in my Second phase of my life. Thank you Sendhil. ----
Lalli Aunty.
Sindhu darling--A big kiss and best wishes for your success. I still remember that chubby baby crying out of pain due to hurting rubber band on her wrist. We the great thought that she is crying for milk.Hi! Sindhu, you look smart and beautiful. How lucky you are to get all your dear ones attending your convocation. I am proud of youuuu. I wish at least I could attend your marriage. Do you want to visit USA. Come I will take care of you. Sindhu darling once again my good wishes for a bright future.

Mid seventies.
An interesting character joins 90SC. Lalli Aunty. First and foremost she was not
a doctor. Or an engineer. Later she also became a doctor but a different one at that.
A fun loving person with a merry laughter she was a live wire. She was also very good
at cooking. For Ealachelvi's 16 th birthday there was a party. A mutton preparation with
Worcestorshire sauce was so good that the people who served like aunty's sister's
daughter was left with nothing but the oohs and aahs of the guests. Poor girl.
Ealachelvi's bharadha natyam training started very early. Aunty was a tough taskmaster.
I got to watch Ealachelvi dance in Dr. Ravi Kumar's marriage. It was utterly captivating.
Her movements were mesmerising. Later when I joined Chandra's academy of Table tennis
I saw many parents like Aunty who made their kids sweat 4 hours a day. If you are
interested in excellence then start very early.

90SC becomes an election office
Let me write about the days when 90SC was an election office. Janaardhanam alais
Magudapathi alais Mullu mama contested the MLC election around 1979 or 80 and
the house became an election office.
The Members of Legislative council are elected by learned people, people who have
finished college, notoriously lazy people. You cannot have meetings and others you
have with Assembly elections. Lists of voters have to be obtained and letters have
to be sent to them.
As I was in Salem, studying for my engineering I was asked to canvas in Salem.
It was quite an experience.
Mama was at the heights of his popularity. He was AIADMK's candidate. But all
the work was done by family and friends.
The counting was done at the collector's office. Mama won easily.
It was a great time for the family. AIADMK Functionarys grudgingly admitted
that mama had won on his own. Mama quickly told them that without their
help(?) he could not have won. A true politician!
Phone less
My cell phone has been left behind at coimbatore so please call on the land line if you have to for the next week. Next week I will be going down again on way to Bhubaneswar for Sindhu's convocation... with Kalai, MRg, Appa and goutham.
Anyone wants a copy, it will have to be done alltogether.. because the ones that I have done are already booked.
Haru, good you are waiting till you are rich enough to get a copy of the book. Thata appreciates different aspects at different times -among them the length of your contribution, Kapu's poem!, Nandhika's literary skills... Surya's insights.. Dachu's practical note... note its all the younger generation!! except kap.
One more page is getting added... for errata and omissions... and then will reach respective people. Lalli aunty since yours is already on the way, will send you extra page by email:-)
