Thank you to everyone

Hi, we are back in UK. I would like to thank everyone who came for the lunch on 26th December, Sorry if I had not given you the time, as a lot have of you had travelled far. I would have liked to spend a lot more time with you all. We had expected 75 guests and the numbers exceeded that.

It was a much nicer send off for Shobha at lunch as the earlier experience at the temple could be described as just dreadful, the religious ceremony and rites were so much better in UK, in an alien country and culture.

Wishing you all a Happy New Year.

Was at Kesavan Chitappa's house and made a copy of this pic it is much older than my earlier pic, hope you like it.

Babu, it was a wonderful occasion and if everyone turned up, its a tribute to you.

As for the pujaris, be thankful you didnt go up north to Benares where the pandas are incredibly openly greedy and abusive. At least our pujaris seem to have a semblance of study and learning. Its a profession as any other and people in need are their only sources. what you saw is what many people complain about doctors too!

As long as we are blind devotees of vedic rituals and believe that these pandits are our route to salvation, then this exploitation will continue.

We have to learn that Hinduism is a lot more than these superficial ritualistic rites.

obviously u have become very british if u have forgotten how it is in our temples. the problem is that they are all poorly paid and a nri is a good source .
