Chennai Express

Saw the film with Anya at our local multiplex. Did not have any expectations apart from it being a SRK film. It was good entertainment, there is a fair bit of tamil dialogue in it which makes it even more enjoyable. They show a bit of the Rameswaram bridge, my dad had worked on its construction for a year. Anya surprisingly liked it a lot, as there are familiar scenes where there is  bounty of food and people are force fed saying 'sappidu sappidu'. Had also seen Raanjahnaa recently, ARR's music was outstanding, so was Dhanush.

Yes, chennai express got (since its old now) bad reviews in TN especially. We dont take kindly to being parodied.
Its remarkable that Anya identifies with the Indian scenes. When our children are totally brought up abroad, are they confused as they are supposed to be or are they foreign with just little bits of of their parents nostalgia thrown in?

Soothu kavum is a refreshing movie.
