Rangoli Kolam-Peacock and Lotus

Lalli Aunty here. Let me first wish Dr.Sakthi Maheswari, A Happy Birthday.I have recently participated in a rangoli competition . I got third price.But it was fun. Immediately the next day I could not even move and Chelvi told me that I create problems for me and no one can help except that I had to swallow pain killers. I am attaching my kolam.I also spend my time in painting and doll making. See the clippings of those items too.

where is everybody? holidaying for summer?
Anandhi, glad you did your trip in your usual style and managed to fulfill all your vows.
Ravi, good Nandhika is keeping on your toes. Hear you are in cbe though? Welcome to Ooty any time. Will try to keep pond wellstocked before then. Right now, the fish keep dying which is normal with new ponds and new breeders I hear.
Hope some of your plans for Ash are coming through. Im sure she has a few for herself.
Goutham seems busy with getting Raja into college .that seems to have greater priority than knee surgery.
Sindhu is in Madurai doing market research on Chinni's masala. Will be joining Haru and GG this weekend at Dindigul so hope to hear from all those girls on this forum soon. Haru, don't set up more bugs in your Mom's PC before you leave.
PC was given a shield and certificate yday as Best Medical Officer.
Part of a govt-World Bank program to encourage staff in Govt Hospitals.
Should I post a pic? Everyone's seen a shield so I will desist.:-)

Hi All...
been to guruvayoor, and chottanikara temples (Kerala) for 3 days via cbe. unlike our temples nobody nags for money or pushes you for special darshans... all in one queque.. though long ones..
chottanikara temple situated on a hillock was better in climate too..
so ravi you should be enjoying nandika's stay there...
I admire the way chinna baby athai organizes her work and the growth she has made in her hobby/career..

hello all
been a bit busy is a bit of an understatement,been very busy, Nandhika is here with me for the last 2 weeks and we are having a great father daughter time as far as i am concerned ( must ask her how she feels ! )
She keeps me on my toes, As soon as i wander off in my thoughts she drags me back

and then we become good friends Its great !
Some difficulties with childcare when i am working have been sorted out
The china trip has been cancelled for this year due to Ash's special classes at school
So it should be a quiet year now
Ash is sixteen on April 28 , planning on getting a car for her, sending her off by a private jet to Hawaii,shopping in New York on the way back ,some diamonds for good measure and,,,,,,,,and then Nan woke me up !
Kallu, Will come and visit your fish pond soon, Kapu enjoy the hols

happy hols
hi everyone .
looking forward to a one month break from hospital in may. just likee school hols. thats the beauty of being a radiologist in govt set up. and also hoping to be chucked out of my private practise so that the holiday is total. of course i can leave the afternoon job but its not the same. i too want to experirnce the pink slip. !!!!!!.
babu so u still have the energy to organise birthdays. i gave up a few years ago and feel exhausted starting over for sanjay.
blog is a bit slow now a adays. every body is busy with holidays i think.
kalu ur fish pond looks cute. what about your guests. is it worth the effort.
the next in line requiring knee surgery is raja . sometime next month.

Everyone seems to be on a movie blitz... and lots of guests and inter-activites.
Kapu's house and life is overflowing. I've wathced a couple of Will Smith - the Pursuit of Happyness which was good and thrillers.
Babu, you are on a nostalgia trip with shirts and lambrettas. I guess you have to have done that to relate to the movie.
Anya seems to enjoy her birthdays thanks to a very imaginative father. Im sure you will find something else to do next year. trip to the arctic? samba class? ..
ravi where are you ? off on a trip to china with your family? or alone getting ready to take off.
I've built a small pond for fish so busy watching them anxiously to see whether they will survive.
And a bed and brekker couple at home right now -

vaaranam aayiram
Watched it on dvd a few weeks before. Surya goes through about 20 shirts in the song 'Munthiram' which is set in the seventies. I remember my collection of shirts to be very much similar.
I am getting really keen on an Indian Lambretta which features in the background in the song. I had one very similar. Any ideas where I could get one?

26 years of being married
As they say here, 'even a life sentence in jail is shorter'. Just took Shobha Anya and Valli out for a meal. Had my b'day celebration a few weeks before.
The next one is Anya's birthday which is next sunday when she will be 14, she is going 'go kart' racing with some friends. I think we have done all activities for b'days that I can think of, next year we would have gone full circle and I will get a bouncy castle in the garden for her b'day.
She had gone on a glider with Air Cadets on Saturday, it has been one of the rare Easter Break where the weather has been brilliant.
Once they took off the instructor handed over controls to Anya for about 30 minutes until just before landing.
I am glad I was'nt there to watch it.

saw ayan with sajit friend who got free tickets for a premier show. of course in true family style as the invitation was for sajit and me only , took haru along and sadly sindhu was too busy to gate crash. movie was ok except for fight sequences. heroine was wishy washy and not too good. l locales and cinematogrPHY WAS GOOD AND ON THE WHOLE ME AND HARU ENJOYED IT AS IT WAS FREE AND WE GOT SERVED COFFEE AND BISCUITS.
sorry dint know that the capital key was pressed. dint mean to emphasize anything.
life is hectic at present with rameshs mum here, lots of visitors, expecting more and trying to fit in a few presentations and conferences too.

lali aunty the snaps are good.
gowtam showed all the blog snaps to chinna baby chithi . so we can sonn expect some comments and fresh gossip.
as u say a lot of change for the better in goutham. so caring and concerned. so much so that when he realised that sajit was driving me back home on the two wheeler he promptly rang up to enquire whether we had reached home safely.
kala athai has had a knee replCEMENT SURGERY. SHE LOOKED FINE WHEN I SAW HER. vidhu was also there for a holiday. the house for those of whom are in tune with gossip was better now, painted outside and cleaner inside. the garden was good.

Another birthday that we missed.
Goutham's - which was in the last week of March. Goutham is very busy right now planning Saroj's admission to college.
This is a special birthday for Goutham, because he has been evolving so much over the past year. Success is bringing out all the nice qualities in him ( never mind the recession just now; he will bounce back).
Keeping in touch with the whole family ( only second to chinna baby chitti) ;
