Trip To Kerala =]

OMG !! Going to Kerala for the weekend was amazing !! We set off on Saturday morning , not knowing what to expect when Kalyani aunty told us that we were going to be staying in a houseboat - Sajit told Nandhika not to expect too much or she'll be disappointed (she wanted some kind of waterproof Hilton and he was telling her to expect a decent-sized raft). When we finally turned up at the docking area after a 6 hour drive we were all like -WOW- ! The housboats were awesome and they had bedrooms, bathrooms and everything.The Kerala backwaters were really pretty and we spent most of the time up on the deck .. The food was pretty good..really fresh fish and all that. In the evening the boat stopped near the side somewhere and we all went for a walk along the edge..

NOTE TO FUTURE VISITORS TO KERALA: The backwaters are not the place to show off your new sandals... the slush and mud will make them unrecognizable in 29 seconds .. talk to Nandhika-she knows.

Dad and I tried going on one of them gondola type boats ...Dad was scared and to top it all off one of the people on the boats was like - Dont worry , u know how to swim don't you ?? Don't you ??- When Dad replied in the negative - the guy shook his head and stopped any attempt of trying to reassure him !! But we made in the end-Thank God !

In the night we all played Dumbcharades ..NOT particularly succesful .. i tried acting out a dog for slumdog millionaire - people thought i was acting out a Muslim praying..

All in all it was an awesome weekend and a special mention for Gautham uncle who trekked through the backwaters for 2 hrs to get poor Dhruv some medicine =) =)
